Expecting a Great New Yoga Class...And More!

Yogi Squats down by the river!

Yogi Squats down by the river!

Hello, yoga family!

Happy Holidays!!! It's my favorite time of the year!!!

First thing--Sorry I haven't written you all in much too long. As I mentioned in my last letter, life has been caught in a whirlwind recently. We've moved, started new careers, and some other things (more on this later.) The days just fly by.

We love it in Austin. There's always something cool and interesting to do. Great food, new people, exciting activities. We recommend catching a play at the Ground Floor Theatre.

I have to tell you, though. I miss my river town. San Marcos is an incredible place. It's where my life really began. Where the plot of our love story truly got started. Where I started teaching yoga. Where we got married. I'll never forget my time in that little gem of a city buried in the Hill Country.

But, as the Buddha says, nothing is permanent.

Off to the next adventure!

Which brings me to a couple very exciting announcements...

Announcement #1: We're having a baby!!!

Our baby boy is due April 17 and I already love him more than I ever thought I could love anything! We cannot wait for his arrival! Jack and I are amazed that our love for each other created this little human being.

Our Warrior of Love & Peace.

Announcement #2: I am coming back to the Gypsy Waltz Yoga Tribe to teach prenatal yoga!!!

The class is called "The Bump."

I am literally crying writing this. I have missed the studio and teaching sooo much. It's like coming home!

We will begin every class, by checking in with one another and talking about things we are feeling and going through. We will then connect to our babies and bodies through a quick and grounding meditation. This will be followed by a safe flow which I design to create strength for our births, our bodies, and our minds. The end of class will be all about yummy restorative poses to cool down and relax. This prenatal class will not be heated.

The Bump's debut class will be December 14 (this Saturday!!!), 11 AM @ Gypsy Waltz in New Braunfels. And the class even has a theme! UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATERS!!! Wear your favorite X-Mas or holiday sweater to class.

This class is designed for pregnant moms--but it's open to everyone! It will be an empowering class, all about connecting you to your body. We'll just skip things like twists and other contradictions for pregnant women.

Speaking of change…

It's almost the New Year! Can you believe 2019 is ending? Seems like yesterday it was just beginning. One chapter ends, another beings. And you know what a new year means...

That's right! New Year's Resolutions! Woot woot!

Here's mine:
1) Read 45 minutes every day
2) Meditate 10 minutes 5 times a week
3) Spend one weekend day a month being of service
4) Try one new thing a month--see a new play, hike a new trail, try a new food, anything new!

As you're thinking of your resolutions, I challenge you to make them S.M.A.R.T. That is, Smart, Measurable, Attainable, Reasonable, and Timely. Don't make a million resolutions (like I always want to do). Just make a couple goals that you think you can really achieve!

Email me your resolutions and we'll work on them together!

I hope you and your loved ones have a blessed holiday season!
